My explanation of you in my life.

I was there at the birth to see your new little life.

To hold you for the first time and to thank the midwife.

To feel such joy as only a parent can.

And walk on clouds as a very proud man.

Looking at your smile and wrinkled face.

Feeling that god blessed you with all his grace

Putting you in your crib your own safe place

Watching with wonderment as you stare into space

Your very first step’s  so unsteady.

Feeding yourself as soon as you were ready.

With outstretched arms you beckon me in.

Your beautiful girl my little Jasmine.

To be charged with such resposibility.

Make’s a man feel very humble.

Watching you gain strenght from your activity

Picking you up from the ground after a tumble.

Going to school with the first days blues.

Standing in line at the diner que.

Eating quickly your first school meal

So concerned that someone might steal.

Learning to write all the pains that it took.

Losing your pencil and needing an other.

Learning to read with your ABC book.

Looking with so much love at me and your mother.

These are the things Ive learned from you Jasmine.

That we never stop learning , all of our years.

My daughter you make me so proud that your mine.

You mean the world to me and fill me with cheer.

Good Work

I really liked it, I felt like my dad was talking to me right at the moment telling me how proud he was at all I've over come!!!!!!!!!!
