SODA
Sweet sugary substance.
Coursing thru my veins as if you was a disease.
Infecting me.
Can’t live with or without.
So harmless it seemed.
Needing you like a drug.
Tongue goes into shock when with out.
Taste buds forever living in torment.
Pepper oh pepper why won’t you let me go?
Keeping me within your grasp.
Can’t deny you.
So pleasant you taste.
What beautiful color you have.
Why can’t I break free of you?
You appeared safe.
Not knowing the power you possess.
Trying to shatter my habit.
Trying to forget you.
Why must you taste so sweetly?
Tickling my tongue with your bubbles.
Refreshing me.
Tearing up my thirst.
Just one more drink and your gone.
Soon another will come and replace you.
Oh! sweet sugary substance.
Decaying me from the inside.
One day I won’t need you.
One day I will be free from you.
