The Kit and the Caboodle

To prep my breakfast robust salad

Much more tasty, far less pallid,

I tossed in the scrabbling furry kit,

Who had a feisty fit

With the green caboodle

And savory flummadiddle (or flapdoodle)

Aside my apple strudel.

Then, so thinking that my puss perhaps,

Along with biting of the schnapps,

Would maim the fancy dish,

Something I did not want or wish,

I fished out the wailing cat …

And that, I thought, was that.

Whereupon the ruffled kitty asked,

“What is the matter? What is wrong?”

I shook my hasty head,

And I, concededly quite rueful, said

In nervous, quick response,

“I must be such a ding-dong.”

Thank You

After an extremely stressful day - this piece is just the tonic. Made me chuckle!! Thank you! I shook my hasty head, And I, concededly quite rueful, said In nervous, quick response, “I must be such a ding-dong.” This bit is brilliant! Kaz x
