Harness the Wind

If I could only dance with you

we’d dance both day and night,

if I could soothe your soul

I’d make everything all right.

If I could sing you a song of love

I’d sing it over, and over again,

and if I could capture your heart

I would harness the wind.

If you were cold and needed warmth

I would be your fire,

I would quench your passion

by being your one desire;

and I’d do anything for you,

you are my best friend,

if I could share my love with you,

I’m sure I could harness the wind.

really like this

Love poems are hard. Perhaps the best thing I can say, and I mean it, is I wish I could have written this. One tiny, tiny suggestion. In the line "I’d sing it over, and over again," for the sake of flow I would lose the first comma. I don't usually recommend bad punctuation but do you see what I mean? cheers, Jess
