On Her Own
Standing in the cold
She was only 15 years old
Looking at a house
She used to call home
Her life had changed
No matter the pain
She had to move on
He mom wasn’t there
Her dad so far away
She knew little of life
But had to make it work
Day to day
She pushed on
Hopeing it would change
But mom never called
Ans her dad couldn’t find her
She was too ashamed
She met a guy
And didn’t push away
For years
She endured
What no one should
Till the day
She said I can do it on my own
She packed up and left
Looking for her own
With pride
With everything she had
She was determined to find a new life
In the end
She had found herself
In a brand new light
With a smile
With a laugh
All things she thought she could never have
