Play Time

its about time

lets bring it on

and erase the white line

release the lunatics

from the asylum

its the right time

for them to run,run,run

the whole damn show

release the lunatics

from the asylum

let them run,run,run

the whole damn show

madness is the new sanity

the king has no clothes

doesn’t he look grand

agreed

This is a free form call to absolute liberation and is inspiring from the get go. The relativity of "sanity", even the relativity of "madness", everything--you call for a purer madness perhaps, since by all textbook sane standards everything is completely insane. Thought provoking and exciting, though you could use some work on the technical aspects. Great job

this is exciting stuff

but don't the lunatics already run the asylum? I guess quillsvein got it right, it's a call for a purer insanity? As Tom Robbins calls them, the Essential Insanities. cheers, Jess

ah

you know, Lenny, you already for some reason reminded me of Ken Kesey (who wrote one flew over the cuckoos nest) and now you're reminding me of him again! I like how you usually do quick hit three lines or less stanzas. Makes your impact that much more resonating. Erase the white lines is great. Does it refer to borders? Mark

White Lines

Mark, many thanks for your truly positive remarks; and for saying I remind you of Ken Kesey (an honour indeed!). And yes, erase thwhite lines refers to borders! Lenny
