Whats in a Verse

Whats in a verse

Do you read it forward or in reverse

Are you blinded by rythme

Is it a good time or a bad time.

Have you set the mood

Is it being understood

Or are you fake

And take

The meaning out of context

What would you expect

And what if any respect

Do you give the writer

Who plainly struggles

Sometimes in a muddle

to put round pegs into square holes

for ever going round an endless pole

As the gift of writing is for personal joy

yes writeing is a personal

yes writeing is a personal joy I completely agree with you there. But even if one stuggles, there may be a person out there that feels the struggle within the read that they can relate to, so ultimately there goal would have been achieved. Just because one person see's it as "bad" doesn't mean that every person who reads it will.
