cafe

girl walks in, black dress.
i look up,
then down.
waitress springs past.
old italians babble.
fat arses sway.
old bags chinwag.
espresso machine squeals.
santana wails.
yuppie furniture.
halogen down lights.
see old teacher.
avert gaze.
tasty mushroom.
i scribble.
$17.

do tell

what the mushroom consisted of. Your entire work here is tasty, down to black dress. I've got amber lighting in my mind, and you put it there. Now I am sooooo reminiscing about some lovely cafes I wish I was at right now, especially one on the North side of Boston, a lovely town. You took me back there with this little poem, f*cking awesome! Mark W.
