Dreams Deceit

So much older now we look back and laugh
At everything we have ever done
So much of dreams deceit
I am not prepared to figure these things out
So much for being safe inside your heart
Then you kicked me out
But in this extremity you fall for the words
You pull the black from the gray
And allow the night to turn to day
But its the little things that go by unnoticed
The smile on the face of a stranger
Or the losing of weight
Take me back to the older days
And the more bolder ways
That we used to say would kill us in the end
What was the point of falling in line
The emptiness of dreams when you realize its all a lie

The echoes bounce around
Making shadows dance in the night
Through the storms and the light
You were always by my side
But being so much older now we see
That our hearts part ways and let our worlds divide

But let the air breath in the night
And let those clouds of wasted air fall from your mouth
You dream on clouds of fire
And you waste your every desire
