Depression

He stands to see

His life

He stands to be

Something more than he tries

But every time

He comes around

She shoots him down

He falls into love so easily

And can’t find his way out

Cause sooner or later

We all get trapped

The things we say

And the ways we act

She stands with arms open

Her nails cut him to the bone

The signs of depression

They welcome him home

She knows he loves her

He just can’t bring himself to say

How much he needs her

He just can’t turn his eyes away

She stands to see

A lonely boy looking into her eyes

She stands to see

A lonely boy in love

She stands to see

His heart pounding

A picture of perfect love

Just like the dreams she lets slid away

She stands with arms open

Her nails cut him to the bone

The signs of depression

They welcome him home

What leads us to love?

What grabbed him by the hand?

What leads to love?

For what can he stand?
