Friends

What is a friend?
A friend is a person you can call on when things go wrong.
A friend is a person who help you see things clear
No matter if you are far or near
A friend is a person who is true from their heart
Not a person who is mean and cold
A friend will be there from the start
even when time has past down the road
God is an example of a friend
He will be there until the end
I wish some people will follow his life
Then we wouldn’t have to live with strife
A friend is a person who love and care
I know I have tried my best to be there
No matter what you have to say
A friend is me

Hi Tish

and welcome to neopoets. I appreciate your sentiments but to me that seems to be all they are. I really like to see poetry explore fresh ways of seeing and saying. Here is something I do sometimes, might not work for you. Open your word processor then turn off your monitor and type anything that comes into your head. Don't censor anything, don't worry about punctuation, spelling, grammar or especially rhyme. Type feelings, images, anything that comes into your head. The results might shock you, they have me before! 8) cheers, Jess
