a broken shell

a
broken
walnut
shell

at the local wishing well
I watched Nuciv’rous Squirrel---

round his neck a splendid wreath
with its inset oyster’s pearl---

as he brushed his porcelain teeth
with a broken walnut shell

Here I go

Feeling dumb again. I have no clue what that word is (Nuciv’rous). I read this three times and it just has a quietness to it, if that makes any kind of sense at all. I love your short ditty's! K. Mulroney
