This isn't fair

You give your all,
only to get nothing in return,
that’s one of lifes lessons,
that’s hardest to learn.
When your love is no longer enough,
and they say it’s time to walk away,
how do you stop the tears,
or keep from thinking about yesterday?
When your time becomes extinct,
and love too, noo longer exists,
you’ll lift your hands up high,
and at God, shake your fists.
You’ll wonder and sometimes question yourself,
as to why he doesn’t care,
but life sometimes works that way,
yes I know, this isn’t fair.
