against earthly debit

against
earthly
debit

note! a well-strummed lyre
to cheer those gathered
round the devil’s fire

might earn one credit
standing strong and tall
’gainst earthly debit

’nough to prompt the fates
to push one’s entry
past yon pearly gates

You are one hell of a poet

Whats your name? Why do you call yourself your daughters father? Your Christian mythology references would nornmally turn me right off. I see religion, next to corporate capitalism as the greatest evil in the world. Your sense of playfulness is delightful though. It's even wicked, or am I wrong? Love your work.

Yup, Yup!

I'm so too wicked. And I like it that way. I love your comment title here, esp. since I've been attempting poetry now for going on one year. My best regards, Mr. Novice Chuckles
