Oh, My!

’Tis overnight
that pinkish cherry buds
white to blossom flare …
so magically …
to wisely scent good
morning’s sultry air.
’Tis marvelous, I do think,
those blooms so stay me
posing here in awe …
to cherish them, you know,
so awfully terribly
much, withal.

I stand here marveling,
agog,
all lost in morning’s
wonder fog.
Oppressive awe, its daze
within, fills me past the sky.
It makes me crave to fly.
’Tis all the wonder
I can bear.

Oh, my!

I spy a bee
abuzz on blurry wing arrive …
excitedly---
prob’ly sent from nearby hive
of colony---
and, seemingly haphazardly,
prefer a single
flaring cherry flower …
and thus ordain
her awesome power
to gather fragrant
pollen there.

I stand here marveling,
agog,
all lost in morning’s wonder fog.
Oppressive awe, a maze
within, fills me past the sky.
It makes me ache to fly.
’Tis all the wonder
I can bear.

Oh, my!

you've

you've only been writing for a year? Where the heck have you been? This is fabulous! I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this, which I suppose isn't very constructive on my part. You're language use is unique (for our day and age) and playful. I normally am not a fan of rhyming, but you've pinned exactly where that needs to go, which is usually the sign of an experienced writer. Can't wait to read more of your work. Mark

I hadn't read your profile

when I posted that comment on "A Cautionary Word" referring to Ogden Nash. Again, really enjoyed, you manage to put the "fun" in "profundity". And yes, greatly admire your skill with the language. cheers

Mist sililoquy

I like the way you grab at rhythm suitable words and throw them in here and there with an air of authority a dash of spice in the buzzing of your soliloquy of flight into the mists of blossoms. Marvelling, I spell with two ll's, hells bells, maybe that's the American way of doing it, if so pardon me. Its you who have set this crazy mind going with the sideways words from past the sky; those flames and flaring blossoms fair exploding on their boughs. The mist is mysterious and picks things out that have before been anonymous in the foreground and cuts out some eyesores in the background making all so visible in a particular way. I liked this and find no fault save the ll's-yelling. I believe it was a Summer fog and not what I saw yesterday in the damp of a white Winters morning where things did just as I explained here. All very theatrical and giving one a sense of actually flying in its ever changing density. I have not read any of yours before, one can get lost on this site, now I have commented on this for you Barbsdad. Yours Ann of Norway

Thanx

I rechecked with American authority Webster's. First preference here's for marveling, although marvelling's allowed. Thanx for the notice ... and comment. Much appreciated, Chuck
