Lonely Night

Lonely night
why do you wait up?
Lonely day
how come you came forth?

Do you wish to tell me
something I cannot hear
Do you wish to show me
something I cannot see

Lonely shadows
don’t swallow me up
Lonely darkness
don’t lead me from light

this

this is probably the strongest work I've seen out of you yet. Your rhyme scheme reminds me alot of how I wrote when I was about 17 - 18. I have a feeling you'll start branching out, and as your style develops you'll start tackling more subjects. Definately keep writing! You'll eventually learn to write about things other than other people, which will allow you to look inside, and at the world around you. Good job!

I think I know what you mean

Joe, Mark and I often have completely different feedback or opinions on the same thing. I think that's a good thing. This poem spoke to me of my confusion about why other people cared so much about me, before I understood why. And was determined to be tough about it. Have I missed the point? If so tough titties. Once you release a poem into the world it gains a life of its own and becomes part of the reader, if its good. And this is good. cheers
