Findley Lake

Tonight I will dream of Findlay Lake,
and of our site in the circle - arm.
It is our special place
one night of memories,
building blocks.
I will dream tonight
of seeing you and Joshua
up ahead of me on the beach,
not the fabulous white sand beaches
of the south,
but the lovely and rural beach on Findlay Lake.
There will be fireworks on the Fourth of July,
there will be fireworks at one A.M.
and continuing through the night,
"the Angels bowling"
as you once said to me.
Our rods and reels
hang in the garage
awaiting our next day
down on the shore,
down at the park.
I have dreamt
of photos on the playground with our son,
and walks down to the boat launch.
I have dreamt
of buying firewood at the camp store
and cooking steaks in the fire pit
and hot dogs for our son,
and of my daughter visiting.
I have dreamt of the shower house
and its unexpected luxury.
I have dreamt of you and I
at night
at Findlay Lake.

These new submissions of yours are soooo personal

You know I love your poetry but I wonder if this is more "journalling" than poetry. It is evocative and lovely but does it speak to your reader or yourself? With respect, Weirdelf oh hell, my name is Jess with respect, Jess
