Trapped

A moment in heaven
Eternity in hell
No one understands
No one to tell
Trapped in a whirlwind
Can’t get a grip
Still for a moment
And then I slip
Spinning and twirling
Completely out of control
So fast and so hard
Just need a hand to hold
The ache, the longing
Deep within my soul
Lost in the darkness
No one I’ve told
The darkness and pain
The hold so tight
Given up hope
On seeing the light
Swallowed by suffering
Digested by torment
Every view of life
So twisted and bent
No one understands
No one to tell
A moment in heaven
Eternity in hell

Sparking the thought maker

Joe, thank you, seeing it from your perspective helps me understand what you ment. I never thought that someone reading this would not have a clue as to what my darkness is. I don't usually do re-writes of my poems, but I will keep your perspective in mind when writing. Thankx!
