Dirty Pretty Thing

She hallucinated out of my mind.
She hallucinated into my mind and died
with eight – seconds left
rat a tat – tat – tat.
Where has my able – bodied
mistress gone / belonged?
Fly away – butterfly
or are you a moth?
I hold you to the fire
and see which way you go
and you are
gone
you are
never here
hear where?
You were language
and natural
and untidy
dirty pretty thing.
Beautiful eyes
and eight – legged friends
are my specialty.
Brute
subtlety by force
who is the persuaded one now?
I am a dream in financial shambles
and am in no mood to cut off
but I am left with what choice
if I’m going to survive?
Stark naked
I am beautifully naked
and have mouth – f#@!*ed Sylvia Plath in many dangerous ways
pillow propped
pop!
The world just made what kind of sound?
two or three?
 three wave goodbye to me
mein schatz
she is a rare beauty
dirty pretty thing she
brings me all kinds of poetry and volumes
and volumes
and volumes of junk.

Lousy at Analysis (will avoid)

I wish I could see you preform this piece. You do preform....right? I mean, well you have to! You would be insane not to therefore I forebid you to tell me that you aren't a slammer! So, with all said and done this is a spoken word piece where you do it justice because I know that ME reading it out loud did not come close to the way it should be read. Yellow wallpaper came to mind, after reading the first two line...hmm Thanks for the read

re:Lousy

I love to read my poetry out loud, but haven't done it in several months because my wife isn't a big fan of it. Hopefully I'll get to a reading soon. Yellow wall paper, that's different...

You are a hell of a poet

You are a hell of a poet Conect! I agree with Word's comment your work would be great live. I know it is the hardest thing for a human being to do, harder than stand up comedy (when I do it I go to pieces so fast people get hit by the shrapnel!) but do it! Pity I'm in Aussie and unlikely to see it. But for Chrissake publish. If you already have please let me know the name of the volume and publisher (and ISBN) so I can get it. Am not pissing in your pocket. I do not give praise for poetry lightly. Cheers Weirdelf

thanks

it's really awesome to have a forum like this where we can all share, and I can get such kind words from so many excellent and talented writers. I have self - published three books under my publishing house, Disintegration press. You can go to the website www.disinegrate-me.com. The first two were done in 1999 and were extremely "home spun" early works. They are available at the website as e - books, and in bookstores in Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio, and Buffalo, New York. The third book is now available online, and is ready to go to press, I'm just saving up to get a decent run. The third has ISBN, and Library of Congress control number, once it is released I am rereleasing the first two "officially" with their numbers, illustrations, and more poems from the eras when they were written. I eventually would like to add a few writers into my publishing house, but money is tight and I don't want to set people up with the expectations that I can do more for them than I can. As for the readings, I like to think of myself as a performance poet, and have received alot of compliments about my readings. I appreciate it, but there are far better than me out there.
