Destination Ignorance
Blindly on to a car crash
to a Broken Heart
to an Untimely Death

The Wonder Wheel Spins On
Destination Hope
Kindly on to Love
to Belonging

This is a nice little Dickinson type poem about the cycle of life. Not earth shattering stuff, just nice.

borrowed idea!

Now here is the poem with the borrowed Idea....as soon as I think of the name of the poem that I read in high school poetry and drama class...I will post it here so you can see the similarities....of course wasn't t called the wonder wheel....the topic was "Time" I think, as it moved blindly, crassly throughout the universe with no concern for man or his feelings!  i'll have to do a little research, but I'll get the title to you all!

Be careful

of accusing someone of borrowed idea. Read Jung's "Synchronicity" Plagiarism is a different matter and shall be punished by weasels to genitals and other creative divertissements.

What is the Wonder Wheel?

Remember that poetry is a very compressed form, every single word elicits associations to a poetry reader. The Wheel to me associates with the Tarot card of the Wheel of Destiny, if so the poem is unfortunately dualistic. Its not 2 choices, there are many destinations affected by choice. "There are only two types of people in the world, those who think there are only 2 types of people in the world and those who know better" 8) I think you could explore this further and write a more meaningful poem.
