Something I Never Told Anyone

Hideing under the covers with a teddy bear in her hand..

Crying silently from fear of being there..

For tonight she is in the house where he does not even have to call her there..

She curls up tight with her teddy bear..

In hopes she can just disappear and pretend not to be there..

She hears the bedroom door squeking in his house though..

No place to run..

She has to stay there all night..

With her teddy bear in her arms she freezes there..

Begging God to please not let it be him coming in there..

Let it be  anyone but him please..

Then the deep voice comes as he calls her name..

Telling her she must come there..

Mom and dad told her to always trust him..

they think he is a good man..

They never notice her fear and pain..

They accuse her of only being a brat..

With no-one to turn to.

No-one who can help..

Just a little girl full of fright holding on tight to her bear..

She lays there in bed unable to move or speak..

Frozen in this moment..
