My Last Hope

I have reached the end

Beyond the help of a friend

What words will make this right

I call on the lord this cold night

Even he can’t decrease the pain

Common sense is what I try to gain

My heart begs for an ounce of hope

This life is placed under a microscope

Dreams of a brighter tomorrow

Have been clouded by sorrow

Friends don’t come by anymore

They say that I’m not like before

Like a moth I fall victim to the flame

For all this pain who do I blame?

Lord why have you forgotten me

An explanation there must be

I try not to loose my composure

Like a widow I look for some closure

Please don’t let me fall into this hell

I know you know this story quite well

The type that you try to understand

Alone the depressed can never stand

Won’t you be a friend of some sort?

Let your loving arms be my fort

Your smile can be guiding star

As I heal my every single scar

Stay around for my sake

In my recovery please partake

Be my friend this very day

Promise me you won’t go away

Only you can make my sun shine

Thank you for being so very divine

This is good, as I feel many can relate to the breakup/loss of a gf/bf. You had no problem just putting it all out there. ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- -"The truth is, it doesn't matter what you do.
