Lonely Youth

With lips tightly sealed,

She swallows her tounge,

Shifty eyes,

Shes been and gone,

I like to wonder what you'll do with your life,

Yeah, like I ever will.

I disgust myself,

I lay awake in the dirt,

I love her and I hate myself,

"Boy that hurts!"

Why am I here?

Lonley Youth.

Thanks man

I glad you've left me feedback for another reason this time. I missed out the word "life" in the forth or so line. Yeah, I'm pleased you liked it. It's quite a soppy personal one, but I think it was true to my emotions. (hopeless) Joey Cunningham Lennox

Thanks

for sharing Joey it brings me to a place not so fun but very real. I don't think personal writes to be sappy myself - more like real ... a reality write

Made my day.

Thank you so much Cathy. When I was writing this one I felt it was quite a personal thing and I hesitated about sharing it because I thought no one would get it, but you seem to do. For that I thank you. Whats more, to use the word (my word) "awesome" is the thing thats made my day. Thank agian. (hopeless) Joey Cunningham Lennox

I love her and I hate myself

Very very Powerful line here. A therapist would say you have to love yourself to be able to love someone else...Knowing from my own personal experiences that is nothing but some pyschological b/s, and I think you prove that with this poem.

Interesting point.

I'm pleased someone has thought about this and is willing to discuss it, for it is something I have been thinking about. The way I se it is that there is no love without hate. Thus the way I can tell whether I truely love something is by weighing it against the things I hate. And I know when I hate something. Thanks for noticing that and bringing it up. If anyone else has a veiw on the "love & hate " debate (hey wow that rhymes) then plese leave a comment here, for I sincerly would like to hear peoples thoughts on the subject.
