07/25 Who am I?

I AM.

I am the summer breeze that soft, wafts through your soul,
I am the gentle shower that makes your love grow whole.
I am the sparkling snows that chill on winter’s breeze,
I am the glowing sun; I will not let you freeze.

These things I am and more, for you my lady fair.
When you ask if I be true, bowed low, this oath I swear.
My lady you are all, for you there is no task,
Nought I will not do; command me, never ask.

My soul no longer mine; You stole it with your guile.
My spirit still is strong; you feed it all the while.
If I were knight so fearless, bold, as in days of yore,
On my silver steed I would bear you to my Camelot by the shore.

And you would need no other, to you all things I’d be:
Husband, lover, protector, friend in my castle by the sea.
And we should live forever, in Avalon we'd dwell,
But now the sounds of dawning awake me from your spell.
