In a circle bound
like a merry-go-round
beginnings seek their end
never knowing when,
I catch the moments
and hold them fast
but soon the present
becomes the past
and the future comes
all too soon.

You know the difference between the poetic use of the word

"conceit" and "conceited", I presume. An elegant and deceptively deep one, Joe,
The emotion lies coolly in wait, like a trap for the unwary.
