I am a former journalist awarded first place in a national news writing competition.
During my 11-year career, I wrote approximately more than 7,000 published stories for daily newspapers.
My writing styles ranged from concise straight news reporting to writing feature articles.
Between these two styles, I conveyed technical facts and news on local government, education, finance, courts
and breaking news.
Also, I was frequently assigned or sought stories using a creative style such as features, columns, editorials, travel series, personality profiles and sports.
A graduate of Ohio University receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism, I later worked for the federal government.
