Surely, they allow five minutes’ grace.
No, No Grace.
Adherence, Not dignity.
What will become of me?
If you can work, you’ll survive.
Winners, Not losers.
Will we survive?
Maybe, I don’t know.
Survivors, Not Thinkers.
When can we rest?
Never, No peace.
Workers, Not Malingerers.
When will we be free?
Never, We're free to work
Serfdom, Not Liberty.

About Me
About me
Originally from New York, I've lived in Waterbury, CT for the past 16 years. While I've written some poetry over the years, my recent exposure to the writings and poetry of Charles Bukowski has motivated me to begin writing again. Bukowski's style is similar to my own and I'm inspired that my unusual, justice-seeking, reality-based writing might have a place in the world. Most importantly, I intend to write poems that recognize the City of Waterbury as more than a transient city filled with addicts, dangerous streets, and undesirable spaces. I want my poems to uplift this struggling City. Now known as 'Dirty-Water' my writing will provide a bridge for Waterbury to become known as 'Living Waters'.
