Pieces of the puzzle
May my image forever hold
Its weight in scale and gold
Distorted it will soon seem
Unavoidable with sweet time
And the space in between
But still, wrap it with a bow
And fancy heart arrows
Because somewhere in there
A wild love is all you know
When you look back on us
After finding out who you are
On your couch, or in the car
I hope you smile and trust
That it was not for nothing
Read the rest of the poem Show less
Despite of how we tried
To empower each other
And mirror endless love
There was nowhere to hide
Something inside me changed
That’s when I began to realize
To love is also to lose
Permanence is fleeting
No matter how you show
Loyalty and devotion
You cannot fix something
That already been broken

"Good poem, needs some tweaking because you've missed out on some grammar rules. Will try to return soon. All the best, it's a sad poem but so true." -

"THE ROAD THAT LEADS TO THE FOREST " by @Drey Hommies
"I enjoy the deeper message in this Drey. The main message i got after 3 read throughs is everything in moderation, because objects do not hold as much value as we think, and it truly is the little things that count when…" -

"Nice charged images and pace. The poem leaves me with strong emotion. My only suggestion is about “run run run” which for me feels a little Dick And Jane children books, perhaps before your time... “See spot run run run…" -

"Ahhh thanks for the clarity. It was reminding me of hollywood's version of the tale. 'The last pharaoh' which i definitely watched as a kid. And indeed, there is no plan B. Only the here and now. BJ" -

"Love the power in this short poem. The lines in the first stanza set the tone and reminded me of a dingy prison. A place you don't want to be... A nice transition into the second half with the emotion. Well done! "There…" -
