Shame and guilt sabotaged mine healthy growth...

and let yours truly not forget emasculation
that prickly emotional immobilization
whereby these lovely bones
subject courtesy senescence
upon cremation reduced to obliteration.

Inching closer to mortality
linkedin with concomitant
subtle deterioration of body electric
finds yours truly (me)
speculating what happens
to corporeal essence
when sprawled out on deathbed
able, eager, ready, and willing
to give up the ghost.

Over Again

We can dream, we can plan
Or imagine all the day long
We can picture our futures
While our present is gone

We can build a castle of sand
A fantasy built on imagination
We can sit and we can rest, but
Champions never take a vacation

Like a golden palace in France
Or a mansion in New York City
We can sit and look radiant, or
Stand up, be smart and be witty

Intentions pure as a fresh snow
Won't get us through the storm
Motivation based on circumstances
Won't comfort us when we mourn

Nurturing Love Through Life's Challenges

Nurturing Love Through Life's Challenges

Amidst love's journey, conflicts always arise.
Tackling trials, growth coherently becomes evident.
Within struggles, our radiance shines through.

Through understanding, we live with ease.
We mend; wounds heal, strength apparent.
A journey together, imperfect yet true.

With benevolent words and no malice,
And an act of forgiveness inherent,
Together, we move forward; bonds accrue.

HOT SUMMER NIGHTS

HOT SUMMER NIGHTS

It was a crazy time back then
Inbetweeners in a party mood
Studies done for a while at least
All activity now to be off-piste
Reflecting the current attitude
Ignoring any serious regimen

Tubs of ice filled up with beers
Good music was playing very loud
And an easy atmosphere to enjoy
An invitation for girl meets boy
A generation that’s feeling proud
Of what I’m not sure, it appears

The Sacred Circle

Sensing the ancestral will of this sacred land,
Feeling the embodiment of its truest natures,
Comprehending subtle energies in our hands,
And the eternal health that may manifest later.

In the druidic nature of energy enlightenments,
And the natural essences in their spiritual forms,
Compassion is the unifying gift from divinity sent,
Healing damage where our deep hearts are torn.

Dark days

And here I am
Cold in the middle of summer
Bleeding through intact skin
For once again,
The light has gone out of my life

I take a deep breath and I hold it
The days continue to come and go
More and more clouds continue to come
Drifting from the south
Where waves crash upon the rocks

I gently release that breath
There's no reason to hold on
To anything in particular

Hot Summer Nights

Hot
Sweating
Hard to breathe
Keeping me up
Tossing and turning
Keeping my mind awake
Thinking about my life’s goal
What is it that I should review
What actions will I choose to explore
Before the heat takes me back to my dreams

When My Demons Awoke

When my demons awoke,
they were very compelling when they spoke,
they weren't acting with stereotypical evil,
they felt rejected and feeble,
but in some ways they made me stronger,
they took their revenge in the form of ponder.

This made their demands seem meek,
manifested versions of me I perceive to be weak,
they had a different kind of power,
I cast them aside when life turned me sour.

EXODUS

In a time of trauma,
When peace wear wrinkles, piqued,
From elegance to blackwash,
Arms circled in anonymy,
Grazed upon heavy bodies,
The floor weeps to the ground,
And the ground wails to the sky.

Ho! A tale is telling itself,
That a sumptuous meal is served,
On the far end of the raging ocean.
It's the Genesis of Exodus,
The Exodus from woes and Lamentations.
Gazing upon many revelations,
A race is on, unflagging stampede.
