as memory fades

"as memory fades"

Gnarly fingers

veil his face,

skin thin and crusty

at spots:

splotched parchment

of years in the sun

water

cascades

from his forehead to

his chin

then meets gravity;

raindrops

through his soil-grimed

singlet, jeans and boots;

hours of toil

simmer away

in rivulets

of forgetfulness.

.

Run

The door is unlocked.

The house is quiet.

The kind of quiet

That makes prey listen

For a twig to snap.

My chest is pounding so loud,

I'm afraid he'll hear it

Through the wall.

My keys are heavy in my hand.

Cold metal forming to my palm.

If I run now,

I might have a chance

To live again.

The Art Of Letting Go

The Art Of Letting Go

A clenched fist releases, and the dice roll.

A closed heart opens, and the river flows.

A broken person walks out, leaving painful pasts, at the threshold.

All are risking

Chance,

Flood,

and

Unknown

future paths.

There is no art to letting go.

It is often plain scary, and at its best, a relief.

Just cry a few tears, and-put on the blindfold.

Breathe deep.

Take a step...and leap.

Learning Bicycle

They say it's something
You can never forget
Unlike playing a piano
Or driving a Corvette
Is cycling just an instinctual skill ?
Mind over matter, a force of will

In my ripe old age I must confess
I've never been on a bicycle, or worn a dress.
Its just two wheels and pedals
How hard can it be
Just hold onto the bars
And set myself free

I had a dream about my first bicycle ride
The embarrassment of falling
And hurting my pride
Its a matter of balance and perfect form
Maybe wear a helmet, keep my head warm.

I have no black friends in my life

I have no black friends
In my life
I also don't have rich
Friends in my life
Because they despise the
Poor people
All my friends are
Middle class
And they are also
Living with very
Little money
Also we only purchase
Close from
The second hand store
Because we can only afford
Second hand  clothes

lick my legs

I was named by the shadow of the lover of pj harvey

I come from the deepest projections of your mind

from your cruel inside

from your cruel inside

I put one leg on  the eyes of your dreams, the other leg

on your mouth to stop the screams

I am here to recycle the memory rejects

I come to stop everything`s heavy on the chest

lick my legs

my hostile style

lick my legs

I will be gentle a while

my name is the dark you`ll find in your mind

Heaven or Hell

Damnation

The morning light at last
A shadow flickers from a haunted past,
a jagged net of silver silk is cast.
The hunger grips and holds the spirit fast,
on fleeting highs that were not meant to last.
The needle trembles like a swaying mast,
before the yearning of a chemical blast.
The years are burning, disappearing fast,
while every die of dignity is cast.
The ghost of who you were is long since passed,
beneath the hollow weight of debt amassed.
The mirror leaves the hollow eyes aghast,
a soul is drifting in a desert vast,

The Unveiled

The gift is gold, a spark within the vein,

And passion is the hand that turns the key.

The "Zee"-that restless, wild, and driving rain

Pushes the soul toward all it’s meant to be.

But even eagles falter in their flight

When shadows pull them backward from the light.

For many dwell in corners, hushed and gray,

Where family needs as heavy anchors lie.

When shoulders bear the world day by day,

The "awkward" weight makes spirit sigh.

I wonder why the ones with hearts of gold

Intoxicating wind

Apricot,
ribboned sky
tropical.

Waves,
heated ply
desertian.

Sirocco carrying sheets of words
My jaw unhinged speaks my melodies
drying, cycling to moisture, spine gives
steel strings accompanying crackle
steadfast sparks like fireworks around.

Smoke,
hazy eyes
emberian.

Shrine,
palms' highs
astral.

Feel Something

Grind my teeth together, a jagged prayer

Attempt to forget the ghost of your disappointed stare.

A moment’s mistake, a clumsy word unsaid

Echoes throughout, there’s a drill inside my head.

Pulling my hair out, one long, wavy strand after another

No pain, no hurt, just something to feel.

I’m crying out so loudly, but nobody hears.

As I tug each strand, my worry begins to disappear.

Chewing my nails down to the bone

Tearing the skin off like the fear I hope to shed.

Why can’t the fear just wander somewhere else?
