Earthquake

When the earth trembles in fury
many buildings are shifted, causing agony
as their walls cracked and crumbled,
burying many lives under the rubble.

The tragedy leaves great cities in ruins
people staring at them in utter disbelief
some are crying loudly, kneeling
others rendered speechless, hearts breaking

they gather together, sharing grief
unable to find words to relief
their troubled hearts and worries
their souls denied of peace.

Now, Go Back To Sleep!

aging in silence
a dusty old thought,
lost and forgotten,
resurfaces
for a brief
session of peek-a-boo

mysterious as youth
small as a sparkle
yet, echoing through
the quiescence of reflection;
boisterous as a precocious child

'tis but a trifle!

but in this enchanting moment,
beheld, once again,
as a gem of epiphanic vitality.

dash dot la creme

porpoise winds
like a water rich bank
breaking

the arc full of shinning
vision
meaning
in the crash
to the liquid embrace

the engines idling
the bank wide
horizon endless
blue deep
beneath the roll
at our feet

time travel eh!

TIME TRAVEL
They, meaning
WE humans, collectively
Finally reached the comet
a decade of flying in space
what precision mind can trace
okay lace

do let me know
which GOD!
helped them
in this race

If silence is gold
then GOD
too has become old

move along with times
pray
scientifically
if one still may

FLARING

Daylight burns fastest at day's end
as sun sprints toward the western trees
and shadows stretch before they blend
while light spears shrink to a mere tease.

I think of this before the fire
as it blazes late at night,
how hottest flames quickly expire
once they've shed their brightest light.

Even combustion of decay
begins slowly but ends up fast
until it comes that final day
when wood crumbles into dust at last.

Sleepless In Singapore

Lying restlessly on my bed,
the entangled thoughts in my head
is the dragon I can't seem to slay.
Its holding my beauty sleep at bay.

The hours are leaving me behind
I'm tired but peace eludes my mind
so I drag my feet to the balcony,
seeking peace from this night's scenery

As a gentle breeze teases my hair,
I raise my chin, enjoying the cool air.
The mistress moon and clustered stars
set me thinking of friends afar.

el Sicko

a medical team in cahoots
with systems tugging at the routes
an arm flailing where
he had just kicked a chair
now they're ready to unlace his boots

Sagittarius

Poet
consider the words
consider the aftermath
of your pen
mightier than the sword
consider the arrow and the bow,
pull back your line
and aim straight
for the heart.

Let nothing stand in their way.

SEASONS

A kid I was... I hit the ball to score a goal.
With messy crayons I adorned the wall.
I picked the flowers on early hours.
By the end of the day I still had the power.

With switched off eyes, I start to dream,
they ebb and flow in gentle stream,
until the colors pour into the sky,
announcing the sun to come up soon high.

Another morn to breathe, another day.
Another run to take, yet the same array.
Today I'm the bride, tomorrow the mother.
I understand today how things go better.
