Forgive These Painful eyes

Eye hurts first thing this morning
Morning light has me in mourns
Black eye patch just won't do
Won't fit under my glasses, boohoo.

My better eye, not so pain free
It to hurts this very hour, help me
Taking the lead in the light
I can't deal with this blurred eye.

mermaidz and marmalade

the heat forms upon the upper lip
shimmers on the waves
the breast of the beat
sloshing on skin and scales
the damp starfish puckered
in its home
a shadowrealm
of shells and worn sand

Newsbreak

http://madworldnews.com/wp-content/uploads/three-year-old-drowned-syria…

As clocks grind more
hours and days,
shores stretch
to absorb
tiny heads
hands and feet
now lay
in peace,

photographers snap shots
to display
tragedies,

I and you read,

yet only silence
echoes in the empty hearts
to ache.

TIME TO GO

Warm sand shifts beneath my feet
as I stand atop this dune
near where the waves and sea shore meet.
I know I must be leaving soon.

For now, though, with my gray arms crossed
to ease the pain of a pinched nerve
I slowly let myself get lost
beyond where sea gulls dive and swerve.

Dry sea oats murmur in the onshore wind.
An old couple strolls along the beach
right where the foam comes to its end
seeking to extend its reach.

Autumn Rises Summer Falls (September Contest)

Autumn rises summer falls
In the month of September
Chilling days come rolling in
Like a plane ride to Honolulu.

Autumn rises summer falls
Sunny days have gone away
Green grasses die turn brown
Dandelions cease to fly.

Autumn rises summer falls
Hot days butterflies
Changed to chilly days
Mosquitoes cease to fly.

Autumn rises summer falls
The trees are changing colors
Red, yellow, brown and green
The best season of them all.

Radio station

I am a radio station
the voice of all communication
a world of expressing determination
specialty is just my cooperation

I only express words
given the shy a voice
a community now has power through me
the brave only use me for fame
teenagers see me as an opportunity
elder use me as an informer
I am a information center

voices are heard
feelings are expressed
thoughts are shared
fun is just a hobby

I have taken out fear
knocked out a future so near

cold one

in the fridge
while the sun burns bridges
through the blinds like a cage
the car crouched ready for
take off....
half a tank...how far...not fast
drive calm

an empty suitcase on the floor
fingerprints on the cellar door

the television eyes flicker
visions....wander the rooms
like ghosts
casting shadows
from the night to the dawn
grab an hour
on the couch

one shoe in the hall
the other at the front
door

Tiger and Owl

I Tiger

Tiger not too bright any more
the treats for your pelt
as heartfelt for your extinction
as sincere, the reward for finding you again

Out there among beer, flags and football teams
lost in emblem now the form of you
yawning there in the grainy footage
At the Zoo in 1936

Do I feign a pall of consternation?
at your assassination by inversion
of the time we owed to you
Tiger, unrepentant repeated now

Come September {} September contest free style{}

Very soothing change over
like a gal switches off
and
dresses into her gown
the night has come

September breeze
not much yet to freeze,

we all will see the moving away
of the sun
now on the Equator on September 21,(twentyone)
then as the sun distances from us
leaves fly about in hopeful trust
ere they lay about the ground,
in colors so profound,
trees bare down
but gradually,
till they bare like me
a baldy

If I Never Fly Again

If I never fly again
I love the slow ride
On the runway
Before the plane ascended for takeoff.

If I never fly again
I enjoyed being up there
With the pillows of clouds
High above the heavens.

If I never fly again
I marveled at the sunrise
Shimmering bright light
Among bluish white skies.

If I never fly again
I won't forget the sunsets
Deep bloody skies
Falling where there's no land.
