Poetic ink

#Poetic_Ink
Earth in standing ovation, life applauding for my renaissance,my journey acquires new tracks, my wings nurtured, setting my territory, both in the sky and upon surfaces of humans,my story begins, warriors and legends competing for characters,

Ode to the women

Ode to the eldest daughter that tried with everything to please her mother that at the end, she was left with a stranger within herself, battling for ownership of her being.

Ode to the youngest daughter that was lost between being herself and being her oldest sister that sooner than later, she realized that neither did herself nor her older sister knew who they were.

Ode to the mother that tried everything to not be the mother to her daughters that her mother was to her. Of course she wouldn't realize that her own mother tried the same thing and there they were.

I am Death

"I am Death, the culprit, the blame I bear
For ending lives, and silencing despair
I thought I helped, easing pain and strife
But instead, I'm vilified, a perpetual life

I ended suffering, a mercy to some
But others see me as a heartless drum
Beating out lives, without a care
Leaving loved ones with tears to share

I've seen the worst, the pain, the fear
The cruelty of sickness, year by year
I stopped the agony, the endless night
But still, I'm hated, without a fight

DITCHED HOTEL

The abandoned hotel was
concealed, shrouded and
took possession by coils
and tassels of poltergeist-
grey mist.

Aggravating the staff
and guests giving no
option but to dissappear

Backflows and spirals like
a ghouls breath mantled
the forest and guest house.
Navigating and

twisting Into the abyss black
tunnels and up staircases
with an ethereal glow. Like
nosey guests going over
the place with a torch
Investigating like an detective

Heartbreak Hotel

At the edge of Bremen township
Heartbreak Hotel, on the outskirt,
long ago shut down and boarded...
Sits heavy on a patch of dirt.

In its heyday, a jumpin' joint
sporting, dance floor piano Bar,
cafe, and comforts in Aces
noted by all to be five star.

Scandals hit hard, this Roadside Inn,
so many sorrows in those walls,
a place for secrets to gather
now paint peels as wallpaper falls.

The Dog and I

This old bed's so cold it keeps us awake
And the roof, it leaks - when wet it may break.
We don't hear complaints from the rafters
In silence they cry, an absence of laughter.
Despite our struggles, the dog still gets cuddles
We're the best of friends, don't call me his master.
The dog's by my side with his faithful brown eyes
Together we weather the storms and survive.
We walk by the lake, come rain or shine
He searches for rabbits and I long for a time

Halloween after Midnight!

Where have all
the kiddies gone
Off to the
freaking Mall

No more
trick-or-treating
It's all done
at the store

Mainly out
at Wal-mart
Thev've opened
all their doors

It once was
so exiciting
To see them
come in droves

Dressed in
frightening costumes
They would wrap
upon your door

Skeletons and
Goblins
In haunting
costume decor

Filling their
pillow cases
With candy
treats and more

At The Library

They sat at the library,
bent over separate
newspapers.

She followed her finger
along each line.
He turned the pages
offhandedly,
not following anything at all.

They were probably in their eighties,
feeble,
on top of current events and
what makes this world go 'round.

Perhaps reading about local concerns -
road construction causing delays,
weekend crime and
hurricanes.

Dearest Male Reader

I know how capable you are
You're built out of confidence, your gentle side attracts a woman's broken heart, and hope ignites
Though her heart has been broken
Broken by a man like you, your gentle side still attracts
Though she suffered in the hands of a man, she still trusts
I know, honestly, I know
Your aura and esteem say it all
You flourish among creation
Leadership is your natural born skill
From this day forth
You will treat all women like queens full of respect and care
Trust me when I say I know
