he heart cried fierce
the cage bellowed
the tamers whip
like conductors
lash
wept one wild
member
for an audience
too remember

the sin in suffering

If I could take away the pain
and make a story change track,
If it could stem the flow of tide
to chase the darkness to black

---

To see the devastating agony
that tears apart your soul,
here, I'll keen beside your body
wishing It could make you whole

Nobody deserves these losses
that heaped upon your door,
I know if I looked sometimes,
I'd discover you curling the floor

Startled

Awakened, startled late at night
by a strange and sudden sound.
An airplane crash? A chainsaw roaring?
Full wakefulness disspells all fright
for it's only Susan snoring.

A cross stitch of our time.

When all is quiet, and life cherished
has retreated from this storm

Of words that barricade in reason,
and deform that critic of fallacy, the soul

When once again, a hope can spring
into the step, and seed the words

That flow from you and I

And the province of human need,
leaves the provenance of lies

Behind us, and reason comes like breathing
not it's facsimile, the sigh

For now more than hawk-like,
dark and palpable beats of rookish wing

poet in you

A Poet’s appreciation

I appreciate the world
and
deserving ones always come first...
in my eyes there can be no surprise....
good poets like you ought to rise....
above the clouds 'tis my surmise ...

And
you have already broken all barriers
I see...
come join in poetry with me.

The sun has not set yet
poets here on the Internet
are the ones
who are definitely the best
and
of course one is you
Sir,Ma'am
Neo- Poet...

In Search of Peace

The seats are all patiently awaiting
the next congress of eager onlookers
as the lights have shown the pathways to home
and now only shine for serenity

The lonely moon bows its chest in full crest
brushing the image of pregnant trees
onto the placid canvas of water
letting our minds know it is time to dream

Too Late

Too long you have shunned my rights,
turning me into a nest of grief.
I'm weary of all these endless fights,
taking me away from any relief.

You live your life, in celebration of sins
while my heart cracked in despair.
Rage, hate and pain have thickened my skin
as my soul fell into a state of disrepair.

I am already broken but you are blind,
sticking to your bloody ego, burying my smile.
The love we had, relics of a forgotten time.
Your presence now leaves me with a taste so vile.

soluble wrends

wended way
till toil the fallow soil
and hear the meadowlark
and sparrow freely sing
alive the sky proclaims in
banner misted sheen of white
transversing with the gentle nudge
of a front felt
sensed

Universe of Mysteries

The clock morphs
time condenses
a singularity,
a hundred million
years beyond
a universe exploded
rippling to inhabit
chasms of emptiness,
illuminated and mirrored
trillions of stars rotated
yet the hush was gone
and the hiss was heard

Just what all this maybe
an alchemy of systems,
mathematical unknowns
undiscovered yet seen
unseen but heard
so much of this absurdity
of life, of existence
a mystery
all of it

WINTERS FADE TOO

I step out of my old red truck
and slowly straighten creaky knees.
With a little bit of luck
I hope to stroll through winter trees.

The first time this forest felt my tread
was way back in my younger days
when hair was rife upon my head
with just a hint of coming grays.

Late winter, I don my camo coat
to ward off chilly morning breeze
and grasp the staff I've come to tote
then pocket my cell phone and keys.
