Silenced at last( revised from Expansess)

Vast expanse of naught
the gaping maw of defeat
unjustified scorn
from others bent on deceit
undermining all
overshadowed by an ego
perhaps unaware
the truth will conquer a lie
a broken soul left to die

See them there,they are asleep
dreaming of what should have been
even in dream they lie to themself
for they are dead and no longer dream

What of Life

Life is meaning less
as we are born out of
lust and love combination
but having been seeded
we have to make life lovely...

pass time till the sunset of life...
what do we do but face dissatisfaction and strife
so to enable one to enjoy as hubby and wife
all we must do is to make it meaningful

Many waste all their life
hoping to find peace in salvation...
it’s just a mental amalgamation of weaker hearts...
an aberration
not to realise...
and about that there is no surmise...

Yogic Logic

It is not debilitating and draining
Yoga is fortifying and fulfilling.

It is not tearing down others defenses
Yoga is about enhancing your senses.

It is not overwhelming your opponents
Yoga is overcoming your impediments.

It is not about material possession
Yoga is about spiritual ascension.

It is not winning a frantic race
Yoga is attaining a state of grace.

It is not about a world that has to be won
Yoga is about a Universe that is One.

DRIVE THROUGH

exertion clambers on the shocks
driving for miles escaping the blocks
stockade junkyards
slanting sun
shotgun rider
bold as the gunz

casettes full of razzle
the dazzle and flux
this heat is fading
slick as a soul
Vampyres rising
emerging from holes

exhaust tip burnt blue
jetting its trail
swirling of dust
sky so pale

outlander outbound
the incoming scream
of frustration
and anger
the hopeless scene

Honky Tonk Queen

Honky Tonk Queen

The year: 1888
The place: Some western town
(Home of the Honky Tonk Saloon)
The owner: Bodacious Valene

Introducing Valene

Her luscious physique, made all men weak
Dreaming they had her in bed.
She loved being flirty,
And talked a bit dirty;
The kind of broad ‘proper ladies’ dread.

Welcome to The Honk Tonk Saloon

Renga Bring In Autumn

Summer's sun was lost
resting inside the Spring poem
drift into Autumn
Autumn's colors have arrive
spring forth browns, yellows and orange

Straight up writes Barbara
I like how spring waits in thought
through winter and fall
I like your choice of earth tones
for a fall's pallette~thank you

When night comes swiftly
as the reign of day shortens
in Autumn's embrace
Witness the trees shed their leaves
preparing for winter's coming

today... yesterday and tomorrow ( amended for clarity)

You are tomorrow’s poet...
I am of today
yesterday's poets
who all went away
now only GOD knows
today,who were they

do you remember any one
then do say
it's been a long stay
since they must have all
passed away

but do remember them
else no one will remember you
as soon as you also pass
into a definite oblivion
but
till then have a sunny day
when the sun goes down
who knows
I shall also fade away...

Bring In The Spring

Sheer excitement
at awakening of spring
on rosy petals
chorus of peepers at eve
and purple finches at dawn.

Whispers of chill days
Birds burst into morning songs
Gracing new spring days
An equinox passes
First white then golden flowers.

The days grow longer
in the season of rebirth,
younglings come to life
Spreading warmth marks winter's end
as bears rise from their slumber.

Woes of War

Old history colluding with current economics for a new geography
Future blurred by the present reflections of past shadows
Perspective clouded by bitterness, lessened yet by fevered demography
Daily doses of death surgically doctored by feuding foes.

Professing peace, proscribing proliferation & prescribing persecution
Protecting & preserving a people, prosecuting & purging a populace
Resurrecting religion, retaining residency & resource redistribution
Rebuilding & revitalizing a region, restraining & razing a race.

Sunny Smile

Where has the sun gone?
From a frosty fellow greeting
To a commuter's cold bleating
The day's forecast was a chilly one.

Where did the sunshine disappear?
From the homeless man's freezing face
To the pedestrian's frigid pace
The weather was not in a temperate temper.

Homeward bound the last snow-covered mile
Trying to bring a warm hue to the day's events
Moving aside for a mother and her two infants
The sunshine dazzled in the little child's smile.
