Reflections of my Psychic

Mirror, Mirror on the wall
A cage inside your world
Within rays of shredded light
I'm trapped
Let me out!
Let me out!
Fingers seek the crystal sea
Tides of dark times
I shall swim beneath
And find my bleeding feet
caught in webs of weeds
And slice the green threads
with blades of clay,
Sunny hands come to me;
Save me now!
Lift me up!
Take me to shore
For I must survive
with each cut
The mirror's lonesome lullaby

Black Dog...By Geezer and Candlewitch

Where I travel
the black dog follows
through the narrows
through the hollows

He can't be seen
by naked eye
or shaken off
even though I try

I see his shadow
hear his howl
he's calling me
with breath most foul

Darkness crowds me
shadows shape my life
I cut them away
with my bloody knife

Red eyes of the hound
gaze into mine
I feel his evil
travel down my spine

My mind is trapped
within those spheres
as I stare into
his hellish mirrors

BOOTLEG

"the world is melting beneath us"
slumped in a chair
cigarette dangling
smoke coiling up past the unshaded
bare obnoxious bulb
Lean over..
"Brine and Bollocks Baby!" I grin
and take another slug of gin
from the battered gentlemans
pocket tin...

Poking her french manicure nails
hair hanging to the carpet
rocking on crossed legs
the little screen glowing
ear bud in one ear
the other dangling

The Young Republican

The Young Republican

He searches through the morning news reading papers nothing new
Out of his sadness springs a mere madness
Shattered dream flaunt the scene shallow promises some make believe
Yet out of his silence springs forth a word to the wise

Love from above in the setting sun spring forth from above
Shelter lies dormant amidst it's beckoning plow
The young republican shall shine in a world in a bind
With the new news we celebrate the victory of the Trump

Salient Selection:

Ambition denied
As Lady Macbeth belied
Cresting legal tide

The Guilt Trip

The Guilt Trip

When I was young I had bad acne & would often skip school
Every time I looked in the mirror I would always see someone ugly
Sadness broke my heart in two then the loneliness set in
Now where do I even begin to think that it wasn't me

The accuser of the brethren struck me deep to the heart that would light
A flame that would stir inside the fragile imagination of my brain
With tempers of fire through family & friends
Shelter lies dormant amidst it's beckoning plow

In The Confines of My Heart

deep in the confines of my heart
exists a very special place
where only love can enter there
why? because it is a forever space

not everyone can enter there
she must be extraordinary
as this woman truly belongs here

we both have suffered broken hearts
mine, the death of my first love
at age twenty one, hers, from years
of abuse, lies and harmful deceits

she is someone very special
as I invited her to enter this heart
for us to help heal each other
overcome our hurtful moments

stah

black and white marble tiles
the fireplace
these french doors
Drank my cottage brewery
the old masnion of the donated
collage campus grounds
hooked up to my woman
tore off her wrappings
and spent the night
showered after
in the hot mists of communal
baths
fell deep in sleep of the after
rapture
arms about...leg over
I was twenty one
she was just eighteen
Neighbor complained she
was too vocal!!
but I like a good rebel
yell
the primitive cry of passion

I Wonder In Myself

I wonder in myself
why someone would say
I've followed Hillary's career
and all she did was help ppl;

I wonder in myself
why anyone would say
"all she did was help ppl
but, I suffrage Trump";

I wonder in myself
circumspected long and hard
about the pain ppl held tight
since the dawn of Reagan;

I wonder in myself
about the fired air traffic controllers
and sickos let out in the eighties
to fend for themselves;

Suddenly Imagine

Suddenly Imagine

Written by: Mario Vitale
Suddenly Imagine

Two faces look deep in the reflection on a lake
Shades of flowers drape the outer perimeter
Out of mere sadness there comes a frantic cry
A storm is brewing in the distance we begin to shake

Shake dreams from your hair my pretty child
A pebble is thrown in the mirror painted glass
Colors illuminate the fragile imagination of the mind
Out of kindness we agree to leave the known destination
