O You My Friend

O You My Friend,
You fizzled my worries & put them to a halt.
Your companionship tend
To help our friendSHIP to sail to SALT.

O You My HelpMate,
Many battles have we fought together and won in our lifetime.
Thanks to God in whom we build our faith,
That grew so great in strength like the optimus prime.

O You My Buddy,
Although we've had our differences in the past.
Yet your attribute have proven that you're a goodie not a bully
This has helped in growing our mutual love so vast.

Traffic Accident

Traffic Accident

When I stopped at that busy intersection,
Pausing there, absorbed in deep reflection,
Absently gazing at some vague attraction
That lulled me into deepest stupefaction,
The traffic light had changed. Car horns tooted,
At first somewhat short and muted
And then in a continuously impatient blare--
Wow! did I ever feel the drivers’ hostile stare.

Ode to a Nightingale by John Keats (stripped imagery workshop)

My heart aches, and numbness pains
My sense,
One minute passed:
Not through envy of thy happy,
But being too happy in happiness,
That thou, Dryad
In some plot,
Of trees, and shadows,
Singest of summer.

If you forget me by Pablo neruda (stripped imagery wprkshop)

I want you to know
one thing.

You know how this is:
if I look
at the moon, at the branch
at my window,
if I touch
near the fire
the ash
or the log,
everything carries me to you.

Well, now,
if you stop loving me
I shall stop loving you .

If suddenly
you forget me
do not look for me,
for I shall already have forgotten you.

FOR A FRIEND UNMET

Look there at that old gray guy
riding on that ornery horse
which, by looks, would make its rider fly
and do so without remorse.

You'd not tell it by his looks
but he's a complicated man
who spends his spare time reading books
and writing epics when he can.

He's taken me to lands undreamed
back when kings and knights held sway
and things weren't always as they seemed
(in that way like the world today,)

For Stan

This stroll I’ve taken time and times before.
Each moment was as pleasant as the last.
I’ve seen the trees and harkened to Stan’s lore
while trodding grass as green as days long past.
For green and lush they were spite all the pain
and now I can recall the loveliness.
The fear is still remembered, but as gain;
those lessons learned that helped me to address
the joys and how to keep them close to me.
And so I walk again with my old friend
to gaze at flowers red and blue he sees.

They'll Call Me Champ

I don't like waiting
but I can do it.
Sometimes it's a struggle
but I can do it.

Most of us can;
no whining or fussing.
As kids, we probably got the shit slapped out of us
if we got too squirmy.
It's one of life's main lessons;
shut up and wait

But every once in awhile
some asshole starts acting up,
hissing-fitting about his precious time,
or the incompetency of a clerk, or waiter.

if you forget me by Pablo Neruda Nobel Laurette Stans imagery

if you forget me by Pablo Neruda Nobel Laurette

I want you to know
one thing.

You know how this is:
if I look
at the crystal moon, at the red branch
of the slow autumn at my window,
if I touch
near the fire
the impalpable ash
or the wrinkled body of the log,
everything carries me to you,
as if everything that exists,
aromas, light, metals,
were little boats
that sail
toward those isles of yours that wait for me.
