DARK ANGEL - 7

I dreamed an Angel came to me
Wings as dark as night,
Eyes that sparked like diamonds,
Teeth of hound dog white.

Each night I see this angel
No words she speaks to me,
Enfolds me in her soft black wings
Breathes soft warm sleep on me.

Soft wings that hold me gently.
Full breasts that feed me life.
Smooth hands with nails like talons.
They pierce me as a knife.

In dreams alone I see her
Feel her sit astride.
Then I awake in anguish,
Alone. None by my side.

Potpourri

She ponders where her penned life went,
words and seasons already spent,

like love sonnets from Italy,
cached into faded potpourri.

Her muse now wanders down a lane
of wild bramble, veiled and arcane.

Verses, lost, gently stepped aside.
Many moved on, while some have died.

Ardent thoughts, now seem less than prime,
perhaps they sense they're past their time.

Still, many lovely rhymes remain
as she ambles on down her lane...

Can You....

Can you see me in the shadows,
weeping behind a veil of darkness?
Locked inside a heart shaped mess,
trapped within feelings of emptiness.

Can you hear me in your dreams,
reaching out as you push me away.
When hope and laughter isn't enough
to make you want to stay.

Can you feel me when you chose someone else?
Does my name cross your lips while speaking hers,
or am I just a fleeting memory, one of the damned
to ever grace your presence with unconditional love?

Blue Collar Woman

She crawls like the ghost

of the distorted spider dancer

to the bottom of the pyramid

as sand blown eyes watch over her.

She sniffs for what might be below

and knows her soft quilted bed hoping

to soon land on the lit-up blue, green and yellow

sunshine where lakes of mirror blue

bring her to dream of funny faced fish

and kitty cats blowing smoke rings.

She works her way deeper under

to where she drains from drainpipes into vapor

WITCHES OF DESIRE

Naked they ride on stallions of flame
Creatures that worship who cannot be named
'Cross ink black skies they scream out their lust
Seeking weak men to reduce into dust.

With cunning and wiles for centuries gone
They have tempted men good, bad, honest and strong.
Appear as young women to capture a soul
Lured into bondage, chained, spirit controlled.

Apologies

I was only looking out
the best I could,

to those of you
who misunderstood.

Speaking seems to do more harm,
but silence shouldn't be the only way,

The struggle within,
pulling me apart again

Dreams of Desire...

Oh Voyager, let me come with you
and put my feet on mystic trails
Let me walk in your waking dreams
ride on ships with billowing sails

The winds of fortune have guided me
I've been here and there and then
Keep venturing on, brave companion
we will travel to there, once again

Voyage on to the new horizon
always searching for hotter fires
Imagination doesn't keep time
there's no locks on our sweet desires

A Ghostly Voyage

Skies of slate, fog seeping in,
wrapping around lonley branches in veils of sadness.
An owl's screech heard in the distance.
Followed by a gentle beat, a break in the madness.

Barefoot and alone, stepping silently
through my wooded prison,
following the notes as they echoed,
caressing the new found freedom that has risen.

The ship stood waiting, a site to behold.
Black flag beckoning in the breeze, calling me home.
The sea rocked in rhythm as the sound grew louder,
when suddenly he appeared; my heart did shudder.

A Toast

To the happy couple,
I'd like to wish you well,
but alas can only hope
both rot in hell.

To her and her alone,
you don't know me,
but saw it fit, to lie and trick.
May you choke on his d***!

And as for him, where to start.
This pain feels like someone
ripped out my heart, stabbing me
in the back with a poison dart.

Karma is a dish best served cold,
I wish you all you deserve.
While I'm out living life,
and you're chasing something stale and old.
