We Understand Each Other In Time

Rewriting Memory

Blink…I blinked slowly and the years went by
faster than anything I could have imagined
Reminiscing about those old wistful days
envisioning the now and how it happened

In dash a lot of memories come back
like a bright flash of lightning lighting the road
Every synapse and neuron quickly firing
triggering minute details hidden in code

And here in a pensive mature brain I see
the mischiefs of a young man were more than just dreams
They were vague plans unable to comprehend
that love comes in many forms like conscious streams

Later, we understand each other in time
living with the memory I won’t forget
Knowing that I became the one that got away
thankful for the love I felt and don’t regret
