In Freefall
I think, for once, I should no more delay
Any attempt of my mind to stray
Into the forever fog that over there
Diffuses the sunlight into your hair
For...
Without your comforting shadow why
Would I entertain the thought that I
Or we or us or bosom buddies all
Should stand together or together fall
(In light)
I think, for twice, (if repetition helps)
To gather dust upon some distant shelf
In a cherishing corner of your mind
To seek clarity of the purest kind
Read the rest of the poem Show less
Else...
My thoughts, like a train at a station, embark
To some destination in forever dark
Where, without eyes, the only thing I'd see
Would be forever only you and me ,
