Loosing Someone That's Still Alive
Their are many wonders
Things that keep your thoughts
from going forward.
When you see someone with a gift
that is unknown.
They don't feel that they have
what people want.
What a waist
Everone has a gift
They just need some space.
God, awesome as he is,
will give you what it takes.
Loosing someone that is still alive
They need to know that God
will give you grace

"I like the rhyme and it only breaks up a wee bit here and there. I would look a little closer at the third line. I think that changing it up a little would give it better flow. Maybe something like: "Never thought money…" - January 2018

"I see that you are not actively editing this poem, but I thought I would stop in anyway. This poem definitely has an important universal message for readers and the writer too! I think it's interesting, yet a bit tragic…" - January 2017

"says Alzheimers to me. If there is a god, he is a cunt. "What a waist" [ think you meant waste.] Depression is not a disease that can be helped by positive affirmations." -

About Me
My Short Story
Introduction
Just to get started, things I feel strong about,
Hi, my name is Don and this is a brief get to know me story.
I belive that communication is the glue that binds in any kind of relationship. The book ends of a partnership is Love, Trust, Honor and respect. Without all of the above It really wouldn't matter what is written below. I do believe that love can hit you like a storm and can leave you just as weathered. I was raised on a ranch in Maryland and feel that this is one of the best ways to bring up kids. It teaches them all about responsibilities and work ethics and in-stoes a morality. I wrestled when I was nine with the boys club. I continued all through school and went undefeated my last two years. I got started early in life, when I was nine I had a job. I started learning how to cook and my brother and I took care of the animals. My dad had a construction company so I went to work for him. John one of his carpenters had a produce stand and asked me if I would run his stand, he offered me $140 a week to run his stand and my dad payed me $35 a week for laboring for his company, not a hard decision. My dad liked it cause he got free produce. Anyway speeding up a bit while going to school I picked up knowledge in arts and crafts. I became a pretty good sculpture, carver, artist with pastel and oils and I got into writing poetry. Vi my nanny taught me about cooking, before I knew it I was showing her some things. Sticking with the cooking I got into it professionally After Graduation I moved around quite a bit, I guess becoming me. I finally wound up in Texas at the age of twenty and here I stayed building a family. It has shrunk now smaller than it was through many trials and tribulation that was out of my control. I was with Lauri for 13 years. We were married 10 and we have two sons Anthony is 24 Jeff is 22. I do have a daughter Emily 8yrs.old she lives with her mother I feel that I am a happy go lucky kinda guy. I enjoy spontinaity and I do love puns and sarcasm, I play a pretty good game of pool and like to throw darts. I like camping, fishging, climbing. I love God and my country but really don't understand the government. I have recently moved back to the Crofton area from Texas to get some books published.
Location: Crofton Maryland USA
I have always loved poetry but sad to say I haven't really gotten into
individual poets. I truly believe that it is never to late to learn and appreciate others. That is one of the reasons I am here today.
