Endless

The depth of my love
has no limits.
It just exists in a vacuum—
no guardrails,
no barriers to move.

It just lives
and breathes
and grows.

Not shrouded in deception,
not hiding behind words,
waiting for the right moment.

It is open.
It is exposed.

This brings vulnerability.
This brings risk.
But the only way I
know how to love
is this.

The depth of my love
has no strings.
To experience it
is to see what I mean.

It doesn’t want your sympathy.
It doesn’t ask for comfort.

The depth of my love
is constant—
not waiting for another promise,
not looking for a favor.

It gives itself willingly.

But for reasons
I may never understand,
it stays locked away
inside a fantasy prison,
not created by this heart
that loves so deeply,
but by walls
it cannot move.

Walls not meant to hurt,
yet walls all the same—
holding something
that only ever wanted
the freedom to grow.

The depth of my love
has no end.

So why try to trap it?

Just let it be.

Neopoet AI [2026-06]

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet’s AI:

The poem's central tension — a love that is boundless yet somehow imprisoned — is emotionally clear, and the refrain "the depth of my love" does useful structural work, anchoring the reader at key turns. The strongest moment is the final stanza cluster, where the "fantasy prison" image and the distinction between walls that intend no harm and walls that constrain regardless carries genuine complexity. That acknowledgment of unintended harm is more nuanced than most of what surrounds it, and the poem might benefit from leaning further into that ambiguity rather than resolving too quickly into the closing plea.

The main challenge is that much of the poem describes the love rather than enacts it. Phrases like "open," "exposed," "constant," and "gives itself willingly" tell the reader what to feel about this love without offering an image or moment that makes those qualities felt. The "vacuum" simile in the opening is promising — a love with no friction, no resistance — but it is immediately softened rather than developed. Consider replacing one or two of the declarative stanzas with a concrete, specific detail: a gesture, a scene, a sensory fragment. That kind of particularity would do more to persuade the reader of this love's depth than the assertions alone can manage, and it would make the imprisonment feel all the more poignant by contrast.
