Longing

Sometimes I wake up at night

And I search for you.

Quite a challenge to sleep

In a bed we shared.

I know it ended for a reason,

That our paths diverged.

I'm still picking up pieces

That scattered everywhere.

For now I'm more peaceful,

For now I search my path.

My own, my destination, but

I'm leading myself astray.

Connection is a sacrifice,

It's a way to feel

Vulnerable with someone.

I can't bring myself there.

Maybe it's too early

For me to find love.

Or maybe it's impossible

Since I compare with what we had.

And from the bottom of my scattered heart

I'm wishing you a better start.

I'm wishing us to let it go.

It's hard for me, I hope you moved on
