before the mammoth's
mammoth turd;
before the tweet of some bald bird.
before Neil Diamond
tried to sing
i've been coming ... ding-a-ling!
before banana boats set sail;
before the bloodhound
found its tail;
before a sock rolled
in a thong
i've been coming all along,
long before we knew a thing
about the stars
my ding-a-ling
has rocketed its milky way
to keep me coming to this day.

Welcome again...
A rather droll little ditty, that one shouldn't find fault about.
We have some others here who are rather fond of the form,
and I am sure that you will meet somewhere along the line.

Thank you Geezer. Throughout…
Thank you Geezer. Throughout the whole of time you too have been coming to this day, to write this comment on my ditty. I hope I come across these like-minded poets. Yours, Arkansas.
