euthanize.

a screaming feline awoke her, 

she barely enters REM 

and decides that’s the norm of the 

city that never sleeps.

 a brisk walk in the sunshine hurts her,

she pulled a muscle yesterday 

and tells herself,

its better to walk on it then rest. 

a familiar lonely crept into her chest,

she doesn’t grant it permission,

and realizes this is the end.
