euthanize.
a screaming feline awoke her,
she barely enters REM
and decides that’s the norm of the
city that never sleeps.
a brisk walk in the sunshine hurts her,
she pulled a muscle yesterday
and tells herself,
its better to walk on it then rest.
a familiar lonely crept into her chest,
she doesn’t grant it permission,
and realizes this is the end.
