Treaty
Treaty
bones and superstition
shush, the book
better an apocalypse is
God’s wish
for a world he loves in
such plenty tongues
to will an end again.
Yet the surface tilts
into the horizon
tyranny waits banally
the city sits on fire
below no other sun
than the one meant for
us
who with amity burn like fireworks
she knows, she knows

Sooo...
My thoughts are that while the "Book" is supposedly the ultimate authority, it appears that the writer has some doubt, and a little bit of George Carlin in him. I'm thinking that you have watched his comedy routine where he questions the validity of a god that "loves" you, yet will flood the Earth, killing everyone, to cleanse it of the "evil" of his creation. Did I get it right? Huh? Did I, did I?

Well, it works for me…
Well, it works for me. George Carlin is right about that, actually. I am a fan of his work. I wanted a little more depth into that insight, though, rather than it being comedically inspired. Will work on it some more. Thanks for your comments.

Whoa...
didn't mean to offend, and certainly I cannot speak for everyone out there that will read this piece. I am basically an agnostic who says he believes in reincarnation. ~ Geez.

No offence taken
On the contrary, you sent a critique that cut to my quick, which I liked. What you said: agnostic with a reincarnation vibe. That’s me too. My work is often too centred on the Big Questions. I should focus more on the personal, perhaps. Thx.🪷
