drops of heaven
A sense of calm, of hope and wonder
The silent calls, the beauty under
The laps that come between each breath
They glaze and shine into the depths
A single drop becomes another
And then a few to make a river
It settles in a pool of splendour
And sings the song of those most tender

I am...
just a bit confused as to what the "laps" are. Do you mean lapses? This is lyrical, yet slightly ambiguous, I'm thinking that the "river" makes happy noises to settle in a back pool, and croon to those children of the most tender. Who are those children? ~ Geezer.

I wrote this while listening to a piece of music that was about being by water in a forest so that what the 'laps' are referring to

Really liked it.
The cadence here is lovely. You’ve perfectly captured that quiet, wondrous magic of nature and renewal. Thanks for sharing this piece of peace! Regards Ray
