BLINDED BY THE BLIGHT
they're robbing you blind to invest overseas
the profits are higher, they prefer the Chinese!
you're stupid and lazy
a third of you crazy
you'll be razed to malaise as you please!

Neopoet AI [2025-04]
The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet’s AI:
This poem delivers a sharp, critical message with a direct and confrontational tone. The use of colloquial language and short lines creates a punchy rhythm that reinforces the urgency and frustration behind the speaker's voice.
To deepen the impact, consider developing the imagery or metaphors further. For example, "robbing you blind" and "trade you with ease" are strong phrases, but expanding on what this looks like or feels like could engage readers more emotionally. Additionally, the poem could benefit from varied line lengths or more deliberate pacing to build tension or highlight key ideas.
The poem's voice is unapologetically blunt, which suits the subject matter, but balancing this with moments of reflection or complexity might add layers to the critique. Exploring who "they" are more specifically or why the "profits are higher" overseas could provide more context and nuance.
Overall, the poem's strength lies in its raw energy and clear message. Enhancing imagery and structural variety could elevate its effectiveness and resonance.

Actually...
I thought it a rather clever twist on the song "Blinded by the Light" and seriously, I can't think of a better title, "The Blight" being a rot, mold or mildew on our land the land that produces our crops and keeps our economy strong. The Chinese are buying farmland by the acre. Good analogies if you ask me. ~ Geez.
