The Saint Thanks You When You Stone Him (a poem)
The saint thanks you when you stone him
The tiger glowers
The serpent writhes
Converts to flowers
All the falsehoods on his head
Delight the living
Damn the dead
Burrow down beloved brother
Hide yourself
In skindeep cover
The harlot waits
Beside the scales
That sink beneath
Your godlike tales
Mouth a mirror of the Gate
Each thousand and ten
The sinners wait
The Eden Garden
As before
Redemption finds
The Babel whore...
john
The tiger glowers
The serpent writhes
Converts to flowers
All the falsehoods on his head
Delight the living
Damn the dead
Burrow down beloved brother
Hide yourself
In skindeep cover
The harlot waits
Beside the scales
That sink beneath
Your godlike tales
Mouth a mirror of the Gate
Each thousand and ten
The sinners wait
The Eden Garden
As before
Redemption finds
The Babel whore...
