Your Loving Eyes

Your Loving Eyes

Your eyes a beauty so lovely and true

The gift of sight I want only from you.
As you look into my wondering eyes
A wave of emotion in me does arise.

And how I’ve become so very eager,
To possess you in a full view fever
And “Oh my God” if only you knew,
How much I yearn and love to see you.

Your eyes give me a lustrous shine
I wish in this world were only mine.
But hope a special someone will some day
Drown in your lovely eyes and play

But before I go the world shall see
Those eyes they once belonged to me.
So give up your own before it’s too late;
For many aspirants wait at your gate.

Someone will love to look through these
The sight they ’ll make will surely please.
But some later day do remember the blind
For my lovely eyes another will find.

When of all these, we really have no need
Below the earth we will lie cold indeed.
Your eyes are for me,
For me
For me
Mine are only yours
As long as life endures.
But surely as time passes along
Then someone else will play your song
And us to ourselves will no more belong.
